"A Watershed Mentality" - One of PBS39's documentary presentations, "A Watershed Mentality", takes a look at the health and status of the Maumee River Basin, how we can best protect, and possibly even improve this vital natural resource to our region. "A Watershed Mentality" has now received awards from the International Videographers Association, was a finalist for a regional Emmy and won the Indiana Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence in the category of Outreach or Participation. Archer Creek runoff - A rapid rainfall event of about 1-1/2 inches in less than an hour led this little stream that drains mostly parking lots and joins the St. Joseph River in Johnny Appleseed Park is screaming trough a culvert. The level is about 4 feet deeper than just a couple hours earlier.
